Bushwacking & Streaking
I couldn't decide where I wanted to go (high school, college or railroad) with the next Ducktale. But, a call from my old friend and fraternity brother, Terry Harmon reminded me of the two times that I was called into the Dean's office @ Morehead State between 1974-75.
Terry and I were cruising campus in my 1973 Dodge Challenger(B-5 Blue with spoke wheels) when Terry said pull over as close to this girl on the sidewalk as you can get. I thought the girl was a friend that he wanted to speak to. As I got beside her, Terry leaned out the passenger side window and smacked her on the butt. He then said, "Give it the gas" and then preceded to tell me the ins and outs of what he called Bushwhacking.
The next day I received a call in my dorm room telling me to be in the Dean's office at 10:00 AM. When I got there Dean Stephenson and Dean Crager both looked loaded for bear. They asked me if it had ever dawned on me that I had the only 1973 B-5 Blue Dodge Challenger with spoke wheels and a tag # registered to my Dad. I explained that I had no idea what my buddy was going to do and I was very sorry. They said they would have to call my Dad unless I gave up my accomplice. I told them to make the call. I knew they wouldn't do it because they were both friends of my Dad who had coached Morehead's football team for three years and was Morehead's first All-American football player. Also, Dean Crager had been my babysitter when I was little. They let me off.
The next time was when I drove the getaway car for four frat brothers that were in on the streaking craze.(Mitch Wooten, Dave Pugh, Brother Love and Mark Boyle) They let me off this time also but with a much sterner warning. I believed them this time!
